Sorry to hear about your problems with Blaufergnugen, but I just wanted to
say...
I have been a regular customer of Blau's for a couple years now and have
never had a problem with an order. Yes, their prices are not the lowest for
Audi parts, but I've always thought they offered excellent service, prompt
shipping, honesty concerning backorders, etc. The only complaint I've had
is it takes them a while to process refunds, but this seems to be common
with mail-order places.
RE: control arm bushings for the 4000q. I have Blau's delrin bushings in
the front and rear control arms of my 4000tq. I've had them for nearly a
year and they have always been tight and quiet. Just recently, the left rear
began creaking and Blau replace both bushings for this arm for free. I
returned the old set so they could check the measurements. I did not notice
any ill effects on handling, but the creaking was a little annoying at low
speeds.
If you have any trouble with Blau, I would suggest calling and speaking with
Jim Blau personally. He is an avid Audi enthusiast and concerned about
customer service quality.
As far as TAP goes, in my experience, they are the antithesis of
Blaufergnugen.
Plus, their urethane contol arm bushings are junk. They worn out in less
than a year on my 4000tq -- very noisy and handling became sloppy.
Just my opinion.
