well, for those who havent followed the previous posts.....
lost middle box......
replaced with straight pipe......
made hangers, that pulled exhaust slightly off....
and now........
well, my back box wouldnt fit back on, no way....
so i cut the bend off and welded it onto a straight pipe, and then welded
that to a 2" bore micron motorcycle silencer that i scrounged, it works very
effectively, upto 2000 rpm on light throttle the car is as quiet as stock,
give it more and you get a rich burble (very rallyesqe), back off the
throttle and you get the cool spits and pops.
Does the car go any quicker?  well, with no rear silencing, the car was
absolutely gutless in my opinion, with the micron hanging of the back, id
say the power delivery was smoother, with a little bit more go, if i had to
estimate, id say about a quarter of a second, maximum of 0-60, but then
again, i still havent got a 5 cyl fuel pump relay, so its an unfair test.
im going to price up 2" stainless tube and mandrel bends, then take the car
off the road and make a complete system, why not 2.25" or 2.5" tube?
Because my car is never going to be set up perfectly to make full use of
this, stock tube size will be far more forgiving to any mods i carry out,
