Moon Roof Problem

If your roof still winds, but isn't moving anything, or there is a
grinding sound, then there is a clutch problem. Just below the gear for the
allen key, there should be a small lever that goes in one of the wheels and
turns it counter clockwise and the lever would lock into a ramp shape with a
slot at the end. This should engage the motor to the winch.
If it's not the clutch, then it may be a broken attachment in the
winch mechanism. I haven't gotten into that part yet, but I beleive that
the roof is moved by a rope that lines the sunroof and is wrapped around the
winch at the front. I could be mistaken but there is a chance that rope is
broken.
If it isn't even trying to turn, ie. there is no motor movement or
drain on the power source, then I would suggest a fuse or other electrical
problem. You might be able to identify which fuse if something else isn't
working that would be on the same fuse. If everything else on that fuse
works, then it must be a loose connection.
Hope that helps some. Good luck.
