timing belt change - advance/or not

For what it's worth:  Mercedes Benz has offset keys for 
fine tuning the cam timing on its older OHC engines.  I 
haven't had mine apart lately, but I recall it being about 
the same size as the one on my Audi.  Might be worth 
looking into if you don't want to invest in an adjustable 
pulley.
