Just FYI, Chevrolet is running an axle through the oil pan on their new
I6 engine. The differential actually attaches right to the oil pan and
engine block! If you think about it, it saves weight, not just ground
clearance, no seperate mount needed for the differential. Sure will play
havoc with the guys looking to jack up the suspension though.
