Kevin,
Not a GOOD idea...........
Let it go..........what is dead is dead! (your after run pump). You do not
want the pump to break in the middle of a hard run; you will blow all your
coolant!
Get a new pump or just let the car cool down after along run, I am not so
sure in the necessity of the after run pump!
Take care,
Avi

Subject: After run pump failure.

My pump (034 965 561C) has been leaking for a couple of weeks so I decided
to remove it to see what was going on. Put a 3/4 inch elbow in its place,
fits great.

So after a quick clean I could see no cracks so I covered 1 port and blew as
hard as I could in the other. No detected leakage apart from around my eyes
!!!!!
After recovering my vision I decided the top and bottom of the head must be
glued together so I pulled and whacked my elbow on the kitchen cabinet as
the two half's separated way too easy. Looks like I found the leak !!!! Is
this the normal failure mode ?
So, has anyone successfully glued the half's back together again using a
high temp epoxy glue ?
