>>I respect the Audifans owner's rights and rules. <<
Let's look at http://www.audifans.com/lists.html specifically the seventh
paragraph. Our illustrious Audifans OWNER writes:
"Also, messages sent to the list must be in plain text format - no MIME,
HTML, image or file attachments."
Will you (and others) respect his wishes now?
>>All Im saying is HTML is a BIG part of the Internet.<<
I think you are confusing The Internet with internet email, one being a
global collection of computers that are INTERNETworked together and the
other being an application ( or protocol, SMTP, depending on your
viewpoint). What works well in one medium may not in another.
>>Love it coz it's here to stay!<<
What I love is determined by experience/thought/common sense, not the
apparent longevity of something. Do people with Genital Herpes love having
it?
>>It's getting late and I have to get up early for school.
I'll let my drinking "older" brother (he just turn legal age last week) take
over now!<<
OH GAWD!! :^)
Look, the point is that you can MIME, HTML your messages all day to
friends/others. When you post to a list that serves several thousand people
(high need for bandwidth), one that the owner funds mostly from his own
pocket, AND is FREE TO YOU, please have the common courtesy to follow the
"rules". If you are waiting for Dan to email you personally and "spank" you
for being bad, you are not only being discourteous, but also selfish.
For those of you who are taking the initiative to learn about your
particular email program and how to control the message format, I applaud
you. This list is great because of the varied experiences and personalities
that come together to discuss all things Audi. It would be a shame to loose
even one over something such as message formatting.
