Turn Off HTML Encoding In Messages

I'm sorry to have to enter into this discussion, but there's something I'd 
like to add- all these fancy encodings screw up the digest regularly- like 
stripping all CRs and making everything appear as one illegible mass of 
letters. Or moving the left margin to a point slightly left of my viewable 
area.

I appreciate that I've now learnt how to switch off all useless options in 
my e-mail software, gonna stick to straight ASCII from now on.
