91 80q fuel smell?

I have a 91 80 Quattro and recently its been smelling like raw fuel? (Only 
inside the car)  Nothing leaking, the car was originally from the South and 
is in Great shape hence, noting rotted.  Perhaps charcoal canister somewhere? 
Anybody BTDT??
