type 44 subframe bushings

I bought a complete set of suspension & subframe bushings for my 91 2C.  I'd 
like to install the subframe bushings this weekend.  Can the bushings be 
replaced without dropping the subframe or should I block up the engine & 
transmission and remove the entire subframe? Any BTDTs are appreciated.
