It appears that you don't think too much of the appearance of the old Jag
sedans of the '50s and 60's then. They truely do share similar heritage
to the S and (okay, only seen pics) X type, and amongst all of the many
types of autos, I do very much like, admire and enjoy Jags. In fact, a
silver F type cabrio followed me on the Parkway today. A beautiful sight.
I think Jag has done an excellent job of retaining their heritage while
coming into the Modern age. And, in spite of what people are out to do
(find flaws simply b/c Jag now has strong Ford roots), I think the
overall flavour of the cars continue, and many of the newer Ford products
aren't so bad themselves. What are we going to do now, slam everything
else like,  "Hmmm the interior of this Audi seems to look an awful lot
like that VW over there (IMHO, VERY nice cars), isn't it too bad Audi's
aren't what they used to be......." . Evaluate a product for what it is
and what it does instead finding flaws in what may not necessarily be
flaws.
