Spoke to a VW salesman at the Twin Cities auto show, the US won't see
the "new" body styled Passat until late 2001 as a 2002 model. As usual,
the States have to wait a year for the new stuff. Whereas I like the
styling of the new Passat, and think the W8 is a sweet engine, you won't
find me waiting in line for one. The rear roofline is too low for my
taste. I'll take an A6 over the Passat any day.
