refinishing leather seats

I have a set of leather seats from a 4kq that I want to put into my car.
The problem is, they are starting to crack, and some of the leather has worn
spots.  Has anyone had luck with redyeing seats, or have some technique to
make them look nicer, and last a bit longer?

P.S.  Anyone have the wiring for 4kq seat heaters from a parts car or
something that they want to sell?
