Basically, it is my understanding not to use impact guns (on any shock you care about, not old ones you are taking off) because it can damage the internal valving and seals in a shock.  That shaft was never designed to spin at the speed an impact gun can turn it.

Not that I am promoting the use of the vicious attack tools (I use them as
infrequently as possible), just wondering where the logic is coming from.
