Alternator?

  Hello list,

  I was replacing my 02 sensore tonight and after
reseseting my 02 light, mine is behind the cluster my
car is an 87 5ksq(non turbo), I hooked and put
everything back together and my 
  park brake,alternator(battery),02 lights stayed on,
  after mooving and manipulating the wires and re
taking the cluster apart the lights stayed out then
when screwing the 2 screws on top of the cluster the
lights came back on and wouldn't go out again no
matter what I did to the wires and harness,
  then my Volts light came on my warning display and
the car died the battery drained, my question is, is
my alternator shot if so I bought it 2 years ago it's
a Bosch 110A?
