Gas mileage, oxygen sensors - 95 A6 quattro

On my '92 100 Quattro with a five-speed gear box, I get 24 mpg in town 
and 26 to 27 on the highway. My wife's '96 A6 quattro station wagon with 
auto gets 22-23.
