crank seal report.

crank seal r&r went without a hitch..
this was on my 4kq..
i removed the bumper (a cinch) 4 bolts... remove the turn signal lenses...
just make sure you have a T-35 Torx bit for the bumper bolts...
i used a very small allen wrench and slid the wrench in gently...
note without contact the crankshaft....
and positioned it behind the seal to where it would actually pull on most of
it.. grabbed the needle nose pliers... and pop.. came right out...
no leaks..

and better yet.. the car is running better... smoother...
definately a vacuum leak..
if your crank seal is leaking... fix it...
the part only cost $7.00.
just some time in labor..

btw.. i had just done the waterpump and timing belt 5kmiles prior...
so i slid the t-belt off the camshaft... and managed to slide it back on...
without loosening the waterpump..


think i'm gonna go do the cam seal now as well..
that had a small amount of oil around it...
