Aux Gauge Install

I installed the three extra console gauges that came on fancier TYP89's.
I took a look at the wiring and noticed it was rather simple, but I was
still praying that the car would be pre-wired for these gauges. Finally I
was in luck with the car, the extra white 6 prong plug that floats around my
stereo wiring was for the gauges. I had to drill four small holes in the
console to mount the gauges, but that is exactly what Audi does at the
factory. The only snafu was the missing piece that mounts to the dash above
the gauges to cover that gap. Hopefully Semple can snag me that piece to
finish off the install.
As for operation. The voltage meter runs right off that 6 prong plug,
so that came to life perfectly. The other two gauges, oil pressure and oil
temp need to be wired up separately with a two prong black plug. My car
doesn't have these senders, but it will once the turbo goes in, and they can
be added to any engine. If the oil pressure gauge doesn't get a signal it
pins itself above 5 bar, the temp gauge does nothing, but they all light up
and look neat:)
Cheers!
