6th injector

Although it would be relatively easy to make the cold start injector add extra fuel,
it is not really a good idea. In fact, the Bosch handbook specifically recommends
against doing this. The problem is that most Audi and VW manifolds were not designed
to distribute a fuel air mixture, only air. What will happen is that you will not
get an even distribution of fuel to each cylinder. The fuel will "load up" at the
end of the plenum. #1 would be the richest and #5 the leanest. This is okay for
a cold start, but I don't think you really want to do this to an engine running under
high load...
What type of injection are you running??? On K-jetronic if you adjust the CIS control
pressure you could get some even enrichment to the five original injectors. On KE-jetronic
you could play around with the differential pressure regulator on the fuel metering
block... I'm sure somebody on the list has done this before. Anybody else have
an alternate solution?
Sorry to trash your idea.
