A4 center cap warning

I just finished putting new tires on my 1998.5 A4 1.8TQ with sport package 
and was astounded to find that the center caps to the factory 16" wheels were 
corroding very badly internally. Looking closely I could see the corrosion 
starting to "weep" under the painted, noticeable front surface (the part with 
the four Audi rings on it). 

I thought I would post this for other owners to check theirs and try to get 
them replaced while their cars were still under warranty.
