Well, I rediscovered a plastic part that I had broken and glued back together in the past.  I rebroke my charcoal canister shut off valve while poking 
around looking for leaks, so now it's time for a new used one.  I'm interested to know if anyone has a charcoal canister shut off valve, p/n 035 133 517 
that they would like to part with.  Let me know how much.
