> How good a filter is the turbo?
Not very. The impellor nut sometimes comes loose on this
turbo as well. But the intercooler will stop anything that big.
> A screw or metal piece accidentaly left in the michelin man
hose?
Would have let rip before this.

Physically impossible.

Not hard enough. I've seen one of those go in - they do
almost no damage at all.

Physically impossible.

Believe me, two of us stripped the whole top end and inlet
area of three I5s and sat and wondered for hours. When this
happened to the AAN engine it cost around $3000 and we
didn't want it to happen again. The _only_ piece of metal I've
so far found that's the right size and hardness is the locator
that aligns the throttle body with the inlet manifold. But they
were in place on both engines. I still haven't had a chance to
see if there's a collar or sleeve that can drop out of the
bottom of the ISV.
