Ur-q gearbox oil

Jim,

Capacity is 3.2 litres upto no. 15075 and 2.2 litres thereafter (see back
cover of Bentley). If it is your MB then I'm sure it is the latter.
Easiest way I found to refil the gearbox was to cut a meter of hose from
my garden hose pipe and I had a funnel that fitted nicely into one end.
Refilling could then be done from the engine bay. I don't think I even had
to get under the car to remove the plug. Slide a bit of newspaper under
the gearbox and when you hear oil dripping onto it you know it is full.
I have tried in the past filling just using the bottle but as much went on
the floor. Plus using my method the car is level rather than on axle
stands so you know you are refilling to the correct level.
