MC-2 suddenly goes rich

This is a new one on me.  Nothing has been done to the car,
but over the past few days it's been starting to run richer and
richer when cold, to the point where it won't start at all.  #5
will fire but is sooted to hell - the others are too wet.
Metering head and injectors are relatively new.

Only other issue _should_ be unrelated - the hydraulic pump
has a blown cap seal and the lower left engine bay is soaked
in green gold.
