Yes, it's a real 4E.  All the 4Es (at least all those in the US) have
4 cylinder engines. 1.7 liter 76hp, same engine as the Rabbit/Jetta/Scirocco
of the same vintage (81-83), but mounted logitudinally.  Really tall gear
ratios for economy (transmission is type 013 code 2M).
