Rear springs/dampers

Put H&R's and Bilstein's on a couple weeks ago, slid in without a hitch or
modification.  Lowered about 1.5" in the front and 1.2" in the back.  Rears
took me 30 minutes each; fronts took me a while (found out I had two bad tie
rod ends in the process).

How many of you have put lowering springs on your 5000 turbo quattros? It
looks like putting the front springs on would be easy, but how am I supposed
to get the rears on? Do I have to buy new dampers to put the springs on? The
front dampers are Boge turbo gas adjust, the rears are OE. Thanks for any
help.
