Odometer on 89 90q

Hi all, the odometer on my 89 90q has stopped.  The speedo still works.  I
tore it apart and found a very small gear that rides on an offset shaft
inside a larger gear. The small gear has a tooth broken off.  Does anyone
know of a parts source for VDO speedometers?

I was quoted 75.00 for a used speedo from a local yard (Bry's). Anyone got
one cheaper or one with a broken speedo but the odometer working?  I did a
search through the archives but most of the odometer related issues are for
the older cable driven type not the electronic ones like I have.

Also, is it just me or when you search the Audifans site do you get any
articles newer than 1999?  It seems to search only up to the point that the
list was switched to Mailman.  Anybody get the same results?
