Trade Secrets

This is, for the most part, almost completely off topic(though we do 
use a number of chemicals to clean and repair our cars, some of which 
are pretty scary; Quicksilver wheel cleaner comes to mind) but I just 
finished watching a show called Trade Secrets, produced by Bill 
Moyers, well known for his excellent documentaries.  I was absolutely 
shocked and enraged by the actions of major chemical companies.  I 
beg of you...take some time out to watch some of the best television 
out there; this is truly PBS at its best.  I promise you won't be 
able to turn it off.  This is shocking, and not in the FOX 
worlds-most-fill-in-the-blank kind of way.  If you like it, tell your 
friends, family, and coworkers.

Below is an original submission I made to the techie-oriented news 
site Slashdot.org(I'm hoping they post it, but who knows.)  It 
contains a few bits of HTML, mainly a few links, including one to the

"PBS is running a shocking and informative Bill Moyers special, <a 
href="http://www.pbs.org/tradesecrets/">Trade Secrets</A>, on the 
suppression of studies, and lobbying, along with lying to workers, 
the public(that's you!) and the government by American and European 
chemical companies to protect their own interests, at the expense of 
public health.  I strongly urge slashdot readers to watch the

note, it may be running late at night), or read the <A

information</A>.  They took a sample of Moyer's blood and found 83 
industrial chemicals in his bloodstream, including 31 kinds of PCBs, 
13 dioxins...and pesticides that haven't been produced or used in 
decades like DDT; all of them are a result of the "chemical 
revolution", and every single one is unhealthy.  The producers claim 
a child isn't born today without synthetic chemicals already in his 
or her body."
