[Audifans-Admin] site outage possible

My school, Lehigh University, used AT&T for T1 lines last year and dumped at
the end of the year.  We had WAY too many outages and miscellaneous
problems.  We've now switched back to FastNet and haven't had any problems.

Yes, it is actually AT&T who is doing the deed ... they took over
Northpoint's assets and basically told anyone who was affected "tough
cookies, we're shutting it all down" ... I got the same message from my
provider ... which is the company that Megapath shuffled PhoenixDSL's
residential accounts to ... Telocity ... who isn't real high on my list
right now either ...

I know from my point of view this whole thing has made me feel all the more
justified in dumping my AT&T cable account, and now I am tempted to call and
stop all of my long distance and local phone service with them.  AT&T was
apparently responsible for eight of KLA-Tencor's remote sites becoming
inaccessible over the company network over the past couple days too ... good
thing I'm not holding any AT&T stock!

It appears that you did not copy all of the lists, so I am forwarding your
note so that the folks on the lists I administer will be prepared as well
...
