The KBB site is WAY OFF most of the time. Just thank the Audi gods that
nobody uses KBB numbers for sales tax or excise tax.

Edmunds online comes closest to the full NADA and Galves books (ones that
come out every week.) Edmunds will even print out a nice window sticker
listing the engine, options etc. Here are the Edmunds numbers for the
same 1993 with the same mileage etc.:

Trade-in $11,802
Private Party $12,885
Dealer Retail $14,689

Just for the heck of it I checked my 1990 V8Q on KBB:
Trade-In Value $7,025
Retail Value $11,085

Wow, not bad, figuring I paid $15K for the car 6 years ago. First $10K
takes it, as I know where I can immediatly go buy a 5 spd. for 5
Franklins more.

On Edmunds my car came up with (even adds for the pearl paint):
Trade-in $5,991
Private Party $6,773
Dealer Retail $8,173

Any lister can tell you which are the real world numbers here, and which
site is more likely sponsored heavily by dealers.
