Air filter housing

You have discovered one of the many joys of the 10v cis turbo motor. This
has allways been one of my pet peeves, especially after seeing how BMW has a
slide in cartridge design that would work perfectly in the Audi.

anyway, you are coming at it from the wrong end. the short answer is to
remove the right front headlight (remove grill, grill trim, headlight). The
long answer is that it IS possible if you remove the intake "pipe" and
accordion boot that go from the icooler to the i manifold. removing the co
pipe is also helpful, but not necc. you then can through a series of prices
geometric rotations phased with just the right amount of translation to
remove the filter and housing.
