In refrence to solving the problem of ampped factory rear speakers and using
an aftermarket headunit, just get a signal converter. When I was messing
around with somthing on my sisters 90, Crutchfield told me that I would need
the signal converter. Went ahead an bought it and it fit in pretty
seamlessly. And probably saved major headaches in the future.

Not totally sure about wiring harnesses. All I do know it was a pain to find
one for the 90. Having ampped rear speakers made it that much more
diffacult. The ampped speakers needed an extra special harness. Somebody can
probably correct me on this, but I don't think Mercedes/BMW use the same
type of harness. Do they still do that crazy grounding think where only have
two speaker wires but still manage to get sound to all four?

How crazy is this? I joined this group for only one reason, to make sure i
didn't screw up my sisters brakes on her 90. I end up providing more info to
Audi users than my beloved e21 digest. Is it a sign?
