There is a couple of temperature switches for your coolant, and if one of them is busted your fans may run all the time. Just be glad the problem isn't that they don't run at all.
One of the switches should be located in the bottom of the rad on the side. It may not be there because of the difference between models, but if you follow the wires from the fan you should find it. There may also be another switch on the engine block. I don't know how much they cost, or how difficult they will be to replace on your car, or even if that is the real problem.
All I know is that the one on my Jetta ran full speed all the time, and drained the battery if I didn't unplug it, so I clipped the ground wire and used a spare hazard switch to turn the fan on. But I don't recommend that as a solution, and many will argue that I am a hazard to road safety because of this.... but it works.

"why is my 2 cooling fans running all the time, even when i just start the
car and the engine is cold " ????? they run until i shut the car off.
this never happened before. does anyone have experience with this.
