1992 100CS question (cooling fans running)

I just had the same problem with mine

It could be one of two things, a shorted relay or a shorted sensor.
Check the relay first. 
Find the relay for the cooling fans ( I believe it is in the box in the 
engine compartment) and pull it. Start the car (air conditioning off) 
If the fans still run, it's most likely the sensor.
As you are facing the car, in the bottom right corner of the radiator is the
sensor.
Pull the connector and start the car. If the fans don't run, the sensor is
shorted.
Easy to replace. Remove with a 29 mm socket.......be quick 
because the coolant will come gushing out.
