idle speed adjustment

How do you correctly adjust the idle speed on a 1989 Audi 200 Turbo FWD. Idle should be 800 rpm right?

I read somewhere that you just dont tinker on the screw on top of the throttle body and from another site but a coupe model that you disconnect something then adjust the screw on the TB.
