I just fixed my '89 200 TQ with a similar situation. The car
overheated, splitting a radiator seam. After replacing the radiator,
it overheated again, spewing coolant out the overflow tank. It 
turns out my problem was the fusible link, located on the RHD 
driver's side wheel well. Easy and cheap fix. Something rare on
an Audi.
