The 5k runs great, and most of the power accessories work too. I'm planning
on using it for a winter car, my '91 VW Corrado is my summer car, so I won't
be driving the 5k really hard. According to all the info I've gathered, the
Quantum trans has the same gear ratios for 1st-3rd, the final drive ratio
and torque converter stall speed are different. The 5k has a good final
drive and torque converter, it just has problems shifting and reverse
doesn't work. I've seperated the transmission from the final drive on a VW
Quantum before, and was able to do it without removing the whole assembly
from the car. Of course if it doesn't work out, my brother wants to put the
turbo motor in his 4kq.
