4kq VIN question

type 81 is just the 2wd 4 cyl, 4000.
type 85 is the 4000 Q, 5 cyl (I think), coupe/gt, and UrQ.

I never understood why type 81 exists... identical chassis as far as I
can tell, certainly more like a 2wd coupe than the coupe is like the
Q's...
