5KTQ A/C Question

Silly question: if the front seal is leaking on a Nippondenso A/C compressor, can it be re-sealed by a shop?  After grenading two compressors on the sedan I'm kinda gun shy about leakage, and it appears wet.  I'm planning on taking it to an A/C shop for the dye/leakage test.

I know my local FLAPS has rebuilt compressors but the one in the TQW seems to run okay, and some of the rebuilt units I've seen consist of a cleanup and repaint.  Scary.
