Oh yes, I forgot, the ECU fully handles cold start enrichment through the duty cycle of the injectors, no more pesky CSV...

The problem I am having is that there is no 12v to the ISV terminal (this is a two wire ISV). To make sure, I even tested the power to the cold start valve and no 12v there either. The fuse for the "warm up valve" is not blown, and as far as I know there is no fuse for the ISV...could the CIS ECU have been damaged by the shorting of the throttle switch wires? What am I missing here...

since the action of throttle switch is to "short" the wires, I don't see
how it could, really - unless maybe the hot was shorted to ground?

So, anyway, it seems to me like you are using the CISE(3?) ECU to come
along for the ride and handle your idle function, but nothing else?

One problem will be cold engine enrichment (unless your EFI does that
for you), but I'll ignore that and try to think about warm idle. I
would think what you seem to - with a "closed" idle switch, the CIS ECU
will try to run the ISV to maintain a steady idle at the stock setting
(750-800 rpm?). Does it still have a tach/coil input signal? It seems
to me that would be all it would really need besides power and ground -
did you properly ground the old intake manifold wires?

I'll try to think about this some more...

Still trying to figure out how to add an ISV to the carb on my F250 :-)
