I find that I am surprised by very little at this point, especially
when it comes to Jap and Murican makes. I have little, if any, respect for
Ford products. There always will be an equivelent vehicle that can eat Ford
products either in a straight line or on the turns. The only way to make it
perform is with lots and lots'o money.
As for the Japs.... Well, here's my story. I wasn't gonna tell it
because it's of little importance to me, but...
Yesterday I was coming home from the local hangout and was kinda in
a hurry, and didn't realize that I had left this 99 honda SI coupe in the
dust from three lights in a row. I'm driving my 87 4kQ with broken exhaust,
control arms, bad shocks.... you know, all the usual probs when you run out
of money to keep your car road legal. At the fourth light he asks me what
I've got and I give him the usual info... '87 5Cyl N/A 4WD, stock, stock,
stock. He was surprised, which is what always surprises me.
They are always surprised. They drive sewing machines and are always
surprised.
To shorten this message, I'll keep this one short. I ended up seeing a
tastefully done early 90's hatch SI downtown and he was making fun of my
ride, so this time it was a matter of pride. He followed me out of
downtown, and I told him it was a rally car and was supposed to sound like
that. He shook his head in disgust, and I decided that it was time to
leave. He was less surprised and more arrogant. Even after I had a full KM
on him, he still was winding it out trying to keep up and blew past as I was
slowing down to turn.
Why don't they get it?
Oh yeah. I almost forgot. I don't know how to tell if an LS is a 6
or 8. Sorry.
