condenser for 1990 90q20v wanted

Looking for leads on inexpensive condenser for the above.
Local price is $225, my best price from my usual supplier is $270, but
that's for the actual OEM part (over $700 list).

I don't mind the $225, but I'm trying to keep the cost down in case
there is more wrong with the a/c, since we can't test the rest of the
system until the huge leak in the condenser is plugged by replacing it.

I know some places manage to rebuild these, right?  Any good experiences
there?
