What's humorous about this discussion is that this mailing list is more or
less a bunch of people who are willing to fix whatever it takes to keep
their Audi on the road (some to a greater degree than others). The engines
in these cars are obviously incredibly strong, because people are adding
performance items to them at 200k miles and more, with little ill-effect.
Yet, the general public would call nearly every one of the cars on this list
with more than 100k miles a junker to be replaced. It's a matter of
perception and priority. People here spend time and money on cars others
would write off as a loss because of love for the breed.
