Matt, I have seen Audis with solid subframe bushings on the street actually
develop cracks in the frame, on the street the stress is just too high. The
best way to accomplish what you want is to go with delrin control arm
bushings, they will remove most any slop in that area and are streetable in
that respect. New stock SFB will make a noticeable improvement, however, I
recommend you do that.

a jack since it has over 6 inches of ground clearance! Anyway, I was
looking
at the subframe bushings and I was wondering if there is a way to put solid
bushings in instead of the rubber? I am not really concerned with higher
noise/ vibration levels, I am noticing that the bushings are not in perfect
shape and if I am going to change them why not go solid?. Has anyone ever
done this (a thread I should check?) or does anyone know of a reason it
shouldn't be done? What about A-arms, are there urethane bushings available
for CGTs? guess that's about it, I am just looking for relatively easy ways
to enhance the feel and response of the suspension, since I have to do some
bushings anyway.
