for the most part the type 44's are mostly immune to the east coast.. very
rare to see alot of rust damage on them....

I've done this stuff many times. I just don't want to do so much of it
anymore. Part of the reason is to get the wife to understand just how much
I've saved us over the years. She takes this stuff for granted and tends to
complain I've spent all day "playing" with the cars. The other is I'd rather
be working on my house and landscaping (not to mention my other hobbies like
music)
 You have answered one question - do these bearings need to be press fit?
Evidently so. My final concern working on this car is the darn thing is an
east coaster which equates to being a pain in the butt.
