Mike - I noticed you said below that the parts are ready to be primed (as
opposed to "painted"). Make sure that the parts are clean (dust free and
oil free and dry from any cleaning fluid) before you apply the primer. I
have never applied any paint or primer (no experience using the spray gun
in other words) but I had a job at a body shop for three years back from 66
to 69 doing the preparation work for the application of the primer. I did
note that when spraying, the painter stopped squeezing the gun trigger at
the end of each sweeping motion, before returning in the opposite
direction, He explained that his was to keep from applying excess paint at
the position of the return direction. Tex.
