yes,
this stuff was called many things such as HiCool,
HC12a but they all had the same ingredients: propane
and isobutane. EPA will not approve of this mixture
for vehicular use because it's flammable and arguably
explosive in the right circumstances.
There's plenty of sites on the net which discuss
making your own using an R12 side tapper on a can of
isobutane found in camping stores (cooking fuel) and
adding some propane in some ratio which now escapes
me. The mixture is an excellent refridgerant and
produces duct temperature readings much colder than
R12 or R134a.
Caution must be taken in attempting to use this stuff.
Besides the flammability concerns you will likely
piss off anyone who tries to recycle your
refridgerant.
