So what's your point and problem, Tom?
[email]
My netzero account was established when they first came on the scene. I
discovered that their email accounts are POP3 accessible from any ISP.
Yahoo/Hotmail requires a fee for this feature, but it's free through netzero.
I've reserved the use of this account for my automotive and motorcycle
mailing lists. It serves as an ideal buffer against spamming. Other than
that, netzero serves no other useful purpose. It is NOT my only account. I
have my personal local ISP which provides access for my family, also alumni
accounts, and T1 access through work.
You assume too much. Do you automatically have a lowly opinion of
people with 'netzero', 'juno', 'yahoo', 'hotmail', 'aol' accounts on this
list as cheapskates?
One can say the same for you for having a msn account, given all the free
msn CDs they give out. But that would be lame, wouldn't it.
[hydraulics]
As for the hydraulics...a fellow lister brought up the subject of possibly
filtering the fluid. He asked if others have thought about it, and I
replied with relevant ideas pertaining to his coming across of using fuel
filters. If it offends your Audiphile senses look the other way, no one is
asking you to do it to your Audi.
Do I know more that the Audi people who designed it, NO, do you?
(to question if the idea is possible?)
But what I do know is that it's a poor design. And it's not these same
people who is going to have to maintain it and pour money into it. It's MY
hydraulic system, in MY Audi!
Installing a new pump which begins to leak the moment it's put
into service, may be perfectly acceptable to you, but it isn't to me. And
requiring "Hans and Franz" to constantly chase these leaks by replacing
components may be your idea of scheduled Audi maintenance, but it isn't
mine. From your statement, I 'assume' you don't do your own wrenching on
you Audi(s).
Well, I prefer to do all my own automotive work, and I assume most here
enjoy doing so as well. If there is a feasible way to remove the
contamination from the Pentosin in order to lengthen the life of these
components, then why not investigate it?
[your reply]
Since I joined the list, I've found many of the guys here (and
those I've met in person) to be friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and
patient. I was first concerned about running into people with a snobby
elitist attitude, but hadn't until now.
<I give up.> So, give up Tom! I don't ever remembering asking you to offer
any support or pray for me. I don't expect you to give a rat's ass with
what I have to say, but I found you insulting, and lacking in any relevant
useful information. You not going to deter anyone responding that way.
