Longevity of Yokohama A032Rs

Sounds to me like an alignment problem, perhaps the Yoko's are more
sensitive to this. IF there is chunking on the outer shoulders, you
should considere adding more negative camber so that the tread
temperatures (as measured IMMMEDIATELY after completing a run/lap
whatever) are essentially even or a most about 4 or so degrees different
from three points across the tread, outer shoulder tread, center and
inner shoulder, always in the same order, and each tire measured in the
same order as previous measurents. The warmer the temp, the more that
portion of the tire is being used. I've heard nothing adverse about the
Yoko 032 R other than it's not as fast as the true DOT "R" tires which it
outlasts, but is faster than the best street rubber such as the Michelin
Pilot MMX or Bridgestone S-02 PP. Another thing that can cause chunking
and premature shoulder wear is too fast a turn entrance or too much
throttle on exit. You may have to modify your driving style to stay
within the capabilities of the tire.
