5KCSTQ: clutch pedal prollems

The other big problem with my car is that when it sits in the heat 
(88+degf), the clutch pedal doesn't return to its full upright and locked 
position.  Only a problem when its hot or when i hold the pedal down for 
more than a minute or so.  DO y'all think its the master or slave?  One is 
easy, the other means throw the car away.
